PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
May, 2013
With Spring Break, Prom, and the major standardized tests (STAR and CAHSEE) now behind us, the school year is rapidly coming to an end. We conclude on Wednesday, May 22nd. Final progress reports have been mailed home, and you should have received them by now. It is imperative that all students and parents use that information to assess progress in each class. Also, continue to monitor School Loop and communicate with teachers and counselors if you have any concerns.
This is especially crucial for senior students as graduation is right around the corner, and we want to see all of our seniors at the commencement ceremony at LoanMart Field (Quakes Stadium) in Rancho Cucamonga on May 21st. Parents can help by continuing to review your student’s work each day and by ensuring that homework is complete. Also, please help by making sure your student is attending every class, every day. If needed, please take advantage of our Guidance Office. We are happy to assist students and parents in their endeavors to improve, achieve, and finish the year successfully.
These are the senior events to look forward to on Tuesday, May 21st:
Senior Breakfast at Etiwanda Gardens 7:30 a.m.

We look forward to the 2013-2014 school year. We will continue to offer our Academy Program to further support student achievement by providing students with additional time within the school day for such things as freshmen transition, study time, and tutoring. All students will sign up for their Academy in the final weeks of school. Please visit www.altalomahigh.com for more information.
