The Best Buddies Club meets every
second and fourth Thursday of the
month in
Room
219 for first lunch and in Room 220 for second lunch. Everyone is welcome to
attend!

A Buddy is a student with mental
retardation who is paired in a one-to-one
friendship with a Peer Buddy for one
academic year.
A Peer Buddy is a high school student
who makes a commitment to be paired
in a one-to-one friendship with the
buddy for one year. |
The Buddy is responsible for:
-Making contact with the Peer Buddy
once a week
-Having 2 one-to-one outings each
month with the Buddy
-Providing money for themselves only on these outings
-Providing transportation to outings |
The Peer buddy is responsible for:

a Buddy
-Having 2 one-to-one outings per month
with their Buddy
-Attending meetings and group activities |

KTTV/FOX 11 news, Rick Lozano will air a half-hour special tha will focus on The Best Buddies at several local high schools, including our own ALTA LOMA high and Chaffey high school chapter at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21st.
