As Peer Counselors we are here for
anyone who is having a problem with
school, family, boyfriend/girlfriend
or if you just need to talk. The Peer
Counseling room is located next to
room 36 in the B building. The door
is always open so feel free to stop
by.
Are you a current freshman or sophomore?
Are you a good listener? Are you the
one your friends come to when they have
a problem and need advice? There is
a great elective class opportunity for
you by applying for the Peer Counseling
Training Class. See Mr. Olson in room
32 for any questions. Applications are
due May 11th.
Unity Forum
Students from all different backgrounds
are chosen to meet with others to
discuss the differences between them
in hopes to eliminate barriers. Come
in room 32 to sign up for the next
Unity Forum!
And dont forget, our advisor Mr.
Olson wanted to give everyone a heads-up.
Our 3rd of 4 unity forums will be
Tuesday, February 13th, 2007. Students
invited to the forum will be excused
from periods 2-4. Peer counselors
will be excused from periods 1-5.
Both groups should be held responsible
for missed work, as being invited
to forum is a privelage. I know this
can be an inconvenience to staff.
I ask for your patience and support.
If you have questions or comments,
please come visit me in room 32. And
see you at the forum !!!

Anger Management
Anger is a natural human emotion and
is nature's way of empowering us to
"ward off" our perception
of an attack or threat to our well
being. The problem is not anger, the
problem is the mismanagement of anger.
Mismanaged anger and rage is the major
cause of conflict in our personal
and professional relationships. Anger
management is a system of psychological
therapeutic techniques and exercises
by which one with excessive or uncontrollable
anger can control or reduce the triggers,
degrees, and effects of an angered
emotional state.
Anger management is a group that helps
fellow students control their anger
so it doesn't turn into violence.
